Re: Uploads Failing
I was getting less then dialup uploads, Charter guy checked and replaced drop line but couldn't find anything else. Finally he said they have many problems with the local lines and were way behind getting them fixed. Last few days uploads were running at 200-300bps. Why SF and Smug d/l is so different below is really… -
Re: Bald Eagle - Jan 21
It's a neat little pop-up blind about 60" square footprint and 68" tall. The thing is sort of "spring loaded" like my solar visor for my car - just a bit bigger so stand back when you release it. :D I got it at Sportsmanguide for $49.95! You can read more about it there or feel free to ask if you have any questions.… -

Don't mean to be contradictory but the 055XBPro and the 3021Bpro are two different legs. 055XBRPro legs: http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/offonce/pid/14791/lang/en 055ProB legs (aka:3021 legs): http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/cache/offonce/pid/2277?fullList=0|67|68|69|71&idx=71 055XBPro leg… -
Re: Any medium format people here?
What is your goal? I know you mentioned Velvia, but are you going to print or scan this film, etc? Don't let 645 deter you, Hasselblad has recently moved towards 645 from 66 with the H1 system. If you print 8x10 you are essentially cropping a 66 to 645. The newer 645 cameras tend to be more like a 35mm SLR, 67 and 68… -
Re: The 7DmkII Thread.
Indoor Soccer Took my 7D2 to my daughter's indoor soccer game tonight, in a putridly lit cave. I'm very impressed with the results and I'm very impressed with the AF. Not that these are anything I would expect to sell or even keep, but it's nice knowing the camera is capable of this. With my 5D3 I've always shot with a… -

Pearl Harbor Memorial Ceremony
Once again today, the American Airpower Museum on Long Island hosted the annual Pearl Harbor Memorial Ceremony. We were honored to have 5 Pearl Harbor survivors in attendance. As part of the ceremony, 68 red roses, one for each year since the attack, plus one white rose to mark the September 11 attacks, were blessed with… -
Re: Sizing issue with Vimeo content block
I just wanted to chime in and say that this problem isn't limited to Vimeo content blocks. It also affects other content block types in general. It's basically impossible to have three objects across and have them be the exact same height and width, because all of them have to be integers and one of them is going to be… -

Skin-tone question for great EZPrints
I'm working on some skin tone color corrections for prints that will be made through smugmug. I find this smugmug help page very helpful when I'm in Photoshop and have access to CMYK values, but I have a couple issues that I'm looking for some other reference sources or help on. First, I'm trying to color correct a group…
