A Brief Discussion about Sharpening and Noise Reduction in LR CC
Taz, I have been thinking about how to respond to your question about the lack of noise in my images shot recently of the cardinals off my back porch. - http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=257118 - I posted several images shot at ISOs from 640 to 8000, but the ISO 5000 and 8000 images were shot with my 1Dx, and it does… -

Re: Need Serious Help: Print Ad My FIRST Sale EVER
Meghan, First of all, congratulations on making the transition to pro! Judging by your blog (which I really like, by the way), I'm about a month or two behind you now. Re: Wedding photography question
You've gotten some excellent advice so I'll just add my experience. Late last year, I was literally begged to do a friend's son's wedding. The bride to be came with my friend and she talked me into it - after much discussion of me being VERY reluctant. I still can't believe she did it..... Anyway, I did a TON of research… -
Re: Dance School Quandry.
You got me thinking last night..... I'm doing a state Level equine event this weekend that is 6 hours away from home. Unfortunately the number of competitors that actually entered are about half what I expected so I thought I'd better try something a bit creative in the marketing Dept. I revised my CD pricing as they go… -
Re: Landscapes of Philippines
Yes. You'll hear a lot of different opinions of the Philippines. I went there with very low expectations. My wife is Filipina... well, she was born in the US but both her parents are from there. She had visited the Philippines as a child and had very bad memories of the place so that is what I based my expectations on. Boy… -

Re: Why so much?
Hmh, interesting thread. It would certainly be nice if some of the higher end lenses were a bit less expensive - I think the extra numbers sold might compensate for the lower initial profit. However, there are some bargains to be had. The Canon 50 1.8 (about £70 in the UK) is fantastic for the price - I wish that their… -
