The FAQ: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=26043 #91. Make an html only page. Put the HTML in the Album Description. <html><!-- Start Content --> <div align="center" style="margin-top: -5px;"> <td width="15"><img src="/img/spacer.gif" alt="" width="15" height="15" hspace="0" vspace="0" border="0" align="left" /></td>… -
Re: AZ to Ushuaia
Clay once again changed his plans, this time to meet us in San Carlos on Thursday rather then Wednesday, which was ok since I could then go Diving Thursday morning (Forrest went snorkeling). I took the GoPro with me on the dives, but turns out it looses all ability to focus underwater, so the video's really aren't worth… -
Re: Getting the word out with sports photography.....
I think Moma and jong pretty much nailed whats wrong with this business today. Luckily i'm in Oz and don't have the competition that exists in the states and I still get people that have never seen anyone doing onsite viewing and printing before so the novelty factor exists which is a HUGE advantage. I agree with Jon… -
Re: Pricing for Wedding Photography
Im trying to figure out my pricing structure for weddings as well. I dont think negotiating is the right way to go either, unless you purposly start of high, and going down to the price you would normally charge, making the customer think they are getting a great deal. : ) The way I calculated my wedding packages was the… -
Re: Does it really matter....
On lenses J: Keep in mind that the D40 can't use all of the same lenses that are available to the others. It's restricted to AF-S lenses (which eliminates almost all of the fast wide, normal, and mid-telephoto primes). H: Here's a recent list (not compiled by me)... From Nikon: WIDE-ANGLE -AF 10.5mm f/2.8G ED . . . $… -
Re: State of the art sharpening workflow?
Capture Sharpening is what ACR does - restores the sharpness lost due to digitization, and the blurring from the anti-aliasing screen in front of your sensor. (The anti-aliasing screen is there to minimize moire' by blurring the image on the sensor slightly) John, you sharpen your images with masks to precisely control… -
Re: RAW or RAW+JPG?
SHOOTING RAW + JPEG Hi, Kat. I'm sorry. This still doesn't hold water. To begin with, your comparison to 8 track is apples and oranges. They're both fruit, but that's where the similarity ends. You can't download free software to convert your 8 track player into a CD player. Software can easily convert any format in danger… -
Re: Google image search, only the first photos of each gallery are indexed, why?
@sdb, I gave it a try. I added a gallery last evening. This morning I did a fetch-as, got the gallery, then submit. Before, the page was not showing on a search specific to my site and time period. After still wasn't... it's been about two hours, no change. I also found recommendations that in the search tools you list… -
Through the Middle East
Hi everyone, My wife and I recently went on a trip through a few countries in the middle east. I posted a few photos in the landscape forum and decided to take up a suggestion of David_S85 in the landscape forum to post a bit about my experiences. My flight landed in Cairo in Friday, June 19 and a bout of jet lag prompted… -
Re: Calibrated Monitor And Photo Printed
I have read your posts regarding printing with an inkjet printer and getting your prints - B&W or color _ to match your screen. As you obviously know from reading and experience, this can be challenging at times. You need a carefully calibrated monitor, software that is fully aware of color spaces like Lightroom or…
