Re: The Over/Under - notes on Sports Spec Shooting
Thanks. Indeed it is bewildering, parents will buy their kids $100-$450 bats they will outgrow or that will "lose pop", $50-$100 cleats they will outgrow, $25 titanium necklaces to improve energy field balance, $18 Nike Elite socks, about $40 worth of sunflower seeds and gum over the course of the season, but whoah,… -
Re: Another NE SD Track Meet
I agree 100% . . . it took a lot of time and effort for Ace to critique my images so thoroughly the way he did. Can’t thank him enough. Yeah, I need to remember to open up the aperture when I switch from my 70 – 200mm to my 18 – 135mm when shooting the relays. As far as cropping . . . I try to crop as much as I can and… -
Re: Smugmug uploader makes a big mess (170 duplicates)
I dont want to just reupload because I made specific arrangements to go over to a friend's house for a couple hours where they have much faster upload bandwidth to do this upload. Testing a Bigma ( quickly ) at the Zoo
If those of you who have used the BIGMA or know lenses in general can lend me some advice - id be grateful. Today I wanted to go to the zoo to test out the new Sigma 50-550 DG. Pacific Coast Autumn 2012 - warning: image heavy
I took two different trips in late 2012 that allowed me to drive up and down the west coast. I stayed on 101 as much as possible, and my first stop was in the coastal Redwoods. 1. 2. 3. 4. My first walk on the beach was more about rain and fog than ocean. 5. 6. But as I moved up into Oregon the weather turned delightful.… -
Los Angeles in 10 Days (21 images)
At the end of March, I headed out to Southern California to visit my boyfriend over my spring break. I had a dreadful cold for a few days before (and during) my trip, and wound up looking like a certain red-nosed reindeer for a few days into the trip, but despite that managed to have a wonderful time. Dan (my boyfriend)… -

Since it’s December, I’d like to make this challenge season-appropriate. The entries should reflect the spirit of this time of year, however you see it. Naturally the entries are not limited to the celebration of Christmas – representations of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other sacred or secular season-appropriate (Dec.-Jan.)…
