Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
Asked the twins to come in and play. The first two are with a beauty dish with a sock on it and an "eyelighter" reflector underneath to fill in any unwanted shadows. Also two kickers comiing in from each side on a 45. The rest were taken outside in the shade with a simple reflector and at times a fill flash on camera to… -
Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
As you've noticed by now in general portrature the set up is remarkably static. Just have to pose correctlly and try to get the light coming in over the front shoulder on a lady and get shading on the opposite side of the face to slim the face. 1. 2. Changed bkg but same setup. 3. Same setup but added a kicker. 4. 5. Same… -

Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
I often go to fabric stores and buy 6 to 8 ft of a fabric I like. I did like this green one so I added a green gel to intensify it abit more. Two kickers a bkg lt and a 4x6 main. 1. 2. A main, one kicker and bkg. The main was right in front of her and I stood directly in front of that. 3. 4. two kickers on the bkg and the… -
Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
For the first time with boxes very nice.!!! Look at the catch lights and you can see the first two about 10 o'clock and you dropped the third one to 9 o'clock. Generally speaking you want your light to be on two axis. One axis is on a 45 from floor to ceiling. The second axis for the same light should be on a 45 from your… -
Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
Been off for a few weeks trying to take care of mom and dad and can't get my head back into photography yet. Asked a detective to come in and model. She is a hoot and can probably kick my butt so these are the more modest ones. I really need to get it together soon so don't pick too hard. First three of her are with the… -
Re: Pull backs....lets have some!
As promised, below are a few from my very first ever shoot. The lovely couple are dear friends of mine who asked me to take a few images to use for Christmas cards. They chose #11 which was one of my favorites as well. Looking back, I now realize that I didn't follow Charles' directions of the main light placement (very…
