Re: Star*Explorer Thread
OK, I have PM'ed the location of two files. if this won't work for you let me know and I'll find a way to get the originals straight from disk to you. These are copies of the originals, copied using the SM UI. Here is what I was trying to do: Very shortly after getting my DSLR, I uploaded some pics - post processing was… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Okay, this seems to getting an issue that I wasn't aware before having the SM upload log. Actually I haven't really checked every single picture I uploaded. Especially when I haven't uploaded in a while and dump a large batch in a gallery. With the new upload log I actually also experienced one of the "File had errors and… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Hmm, S*E would not show it in the same way as for the upload, but it will allow you to download image info (or images themselves) into the local database, which you then can explore using MS Access or any other ADO/OLE/ODBC compatible software. I know it sounds nerdy, but this what I have for a moment. I have solid plans… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
John, those are all valid ideas. However, it's very much user specific. For instance, for yours truly it would be a complete waste of time and bandwidth since I do all my SM work via S*E. And for those extremely rare cases when I don't I prefer to sync manually. I will most likely improve this whole sort of things in V.2,… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Well..:-) Then I guess it's my Eastern Egg then:-). Don't use them please. I hope I'll upload the new version (with the file downloads) soon enough, so I would not worry about these two. Oh, and btw, I will add the bandwidth control on the download, too. There has been one for upload for quite some time already, but now… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Gary, SM recently changed the upload log to be daily/weekly/monthly. S*E upload log analysis only goes as far as parsing html page and trying to help you to re upload what's been missing. If some info is not there - not much I (or anyone) can do. Please shoot me an email if you have further questions/concerns so I can… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Pricing API, etc. Unfortunately, no pricing/shopping cart API is currently availalbe for the production API, and I'm not aware of any plans. Using hacking approach, while possible, is very tedious, unreliable and really closes the gap between "creatinve brosing" and the actual hacking fast. In the mean time I'd suggest to… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
S*E v1.0.0.152 Enclosed screen shot. I guess what I saw was the keyword added to each photo when the caption is added.. These are two of the "thumbs" I downloaded. Notice the files names and size (originals). Cancelled d/l after 49. Two of the 49 were thumbs, rest originals. BTW the keyword has no connection to these… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Star*explorer seems to be freezing when it opens-- a "checking for updates..." dialog comes up and freezes everything without ever going away. Anyone else having issues? I can't seem to access the star*explorer website either. Does S*E need access to the starexplorer.com site to be able to work properly? I also see a… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
There is none Gary, this is probably some misunderstanding. There is no, never was and never will be "an upload limit". SM servers can "act up" (in fact, they were slow this weekend), but it's not up to me... And if you're talking about per-file limit... Well, you can control it yourself. S*E sets default to 8Mb (since it…
