The DGRIN Mini-Challenges (Quick Links)
Welcome to Mini-Challenge #177 - Human Emotions I’m excited to be hosting my first mini. It’s been fun playing along for a couple of years; now it’s my turn to choose the topic! In my opinion, there’s nothing as interesting as human nature, or as fascinating as the human face. So….. I am interested in seeing your images of… -
Wild Utah Workshop
Here are some of my photos from the Wild Utah Workshop. It was a great time and a fantastic learning experience. Day 1 - 2007-05-17 Grand Junction CO We all gathered in Grand Junction, CO on May 17. I started my trip on the 12th and spent five days shooting Zion, Bryce and Capitol Reef before the meet up in GJ. The… -
Re: Katy Trip - Grandchildren, OOMCZ photography and Graving
We went down to Beasley to the Saint Wenceslaus Cemetery and took about 60 photos. While Bob was taking photos, this man came and walked around the cemetery too. I took his photo from the car Don't know exactly why. and then went back to the hotel because we were to see the taekwando lesson and had to be at Beth's by 5. I… -
Re: SF2 Behind The Scenes
Anasazi Pleasure Pat, IMAX, and Guys, Thanks for the tute tip... finally got back on the HM winner, but its a long post... This is the tale of a long, tortuous road to find a sacred place, get there, shoot it, PS it, matte it, submit it for judging at a State Fair contest, and then, see how it fared. Forgive the long post;… -

My first pass yielded 35 photos that caught my attention for one reason or another. That list is as follows: Post# - Photog - Title 2 - PaulThomasMcKee - BIG BANG REDUX 3 - DRabbit -… -
Re: Help with starting freelance sports shooting
I'm doing this, it can work. The others are right that it is generally a waste of time for full time pros to shoot youth sports action. However if you already have a main source of income, it can be a fun side-business and a nice chunk of change. I am doing it. Some examples of my recent work are in this thread. This is… -
Re: Lightbox slow - anyone else or just me?
First, this morning (1/29) as I write this, performance is decent. Not good, not normal, but 2-4 seconds for a large image to come up, and no failures. I will try to do it again if it gets worse. Re: LPS#6 Feedback thread
This is my feedback list In general, this was the hardest one yet to judge as I pulled out many photos on my first pass. But I was disappointed to see so few people photos. The curvy theme was just begging for it. And seeing as how the top point getter was a people shot, don't discount that in the future. And now on to the…
