My Visit with Lincoln
A new take on an interesting statue of Lincoln found on the Syracuse University campus. More info on my blog: View 122: Visiting with Lincoln Created an HDR image of the statue to give the flat gray sky some texture. Took this one later after the accent lights came on using the Tokina 11-16 UWA @ 11mm Can you tell I was… -
Re: New! Picasa Uploader
Weird. So I just re-uploaded 132 photos, and the first 122 went fine (but I never got the Upload Status from your server). Then I selected and uploaded the last 10 photos, and I *did* get the status this time. I really shouldn't have these kinds of problems from my work. We've got a DS3, and it's pretty solid. -
For DSS #122 - Witch Hazel in Ice
Took this early one morning, trying to catch the rising sun hitting the ice on the witch hazel blossoms. There was a steady rain of melting ice all around me so I felt lucky to capture this shot. Re: Red Bull Crashed Ice
I like 122 the best. It shows how much effort is put into finishing a run. BTW, These people are nuts. I watched and took a few photos on Friday durning the day. The double bumps between the two larger hills were kicking everyones butt. Heading there tonight for the finals under the lights, should be a wild time. It's… -

Re: New Sigma WA
The Sigma page for this lens: http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/12-24mm-f45-56-dg-hsm-ii1 Yes, it looks like a pretty "bulbous" front element and I believe that the lens requires an adapter to use filters, which will probably vignette at the widest settings using any filter. This is an extremely wide-angle rectilinear zoom… -
