FS: Dynatran CF92 Carbon Fiber Tripod and Large Ballhead (US)
I have a brand-new CF-92 Carbon Fiber Tripod for sale, along with a brand-new large ballhead. Comes with its padded case, and all the new wrapped items in the front pocket. I compared to my Weifeng/Fancier, and prefer the weight and height of the Weifeng. If I didn't have one to begin with though, this tripod would be… -
Re: Nikon D50 + NEF + PhotoshopCS = NO GO
I wouldn't put it past Nikon to make their D50 NEF's incompatible with all but the latest third party software. It's always an uphill battle to gain NEF compatibility with new cameras and old software. You can download all sorts of raw converters for CS and ACR, it might be possible to get the D50's NEF's to work. I… -
Re: Buying a Camera? How To Not Get Ripped Off.
Adorama I got lens lust the other day and started looking at used lens on B&H, they didn't have what I wanted so I looked at adorama. They had what I wanted so I ordered, and a protective filter for the lens. Sunday I got an e-mail from them, I just thought that it was telling me that my order shipped. Today I opened that… -

Re: Computer Upgrade Advice Needed - Main Usage is with Capture NX2
Thank you both for your replies. In response to going with a Core 2 Duo/Quad. I was really eyeing up the Q6600 but unfortunately, going that route would add over $200 to the upgrade cost. I then looked at an E8400 and again it was very close to the Q6600. So that is why I started looking at the AMD solution. Also, just to… -
Re: I had a baby...sort of!! *Lots of Images*
Then, a couple days ago I tried to take a camera phone self portrait of myself with Aurelio and he tried to chew on my head which of course made me laugh and get all squinty eyed while he looks like a demonic llama...But, it's cute so here it is anyway! If you will pardon Octavia's dirty coat these pictures are from the… -

Re: The black dog
Interesting approach to an overexposed image - When I bring image #1 into Photshop and examine the color data in the Info palette I see numberrs of a medium gray for the dogs head - eg 120, 130, 125 RGB These numbers should be around 240 or so to be black - This indicates to me that the original picture was overexposed as… -

Re: Blu Ray backups anyone ?
The 4GB barrier has me at wits. I won't buy larger than 4GB cards since I back each one up (first) to an archive DVD, before they are copied to my computer on HD's. It is my paranoia that I'd never backup the shots later if I didn't do this. Hey, this practice just works for me. If I move to 8GB cards or larger, I'll be…
