Re: Color or Black and White
Well, it is kind of my own since you all seem to use photostop and I use a corel program. But my biggest breakthrough was just recently when Andy of Moonriver fame posted his Grand Central Station light pictures. He posted a super color and then a fantastic Black and White of the same shot. I downloaded his 2 shots I then… -

Re: Camera bag, backpack style, suggestions anyone?
really good bag/backpack will be more than $50.....I have been using LowePro now for over 25+yrs and other photogs have been using thier brands for just as long.....but I do find the LowePro's to be more padded than most.....including Tamrac, m-rock and others....a lot of the newer styles that tout being invisble because… -
Re: What Nikon Lens for Outdoors Maine?
Yes, I believe that you would do nicely with some lenses with both faster aperture and higher overall quality. I am a firm believer that wide angle lenses especially require very high resolution in order to be useful for landscapes. The reason has to do with the nature of what we are trying to capture at wide angle, often… -
Re: The Spa Girls
Thank you for your comments. I changed the order and coloring of #1 as suggested. Normally I run out with a D700 or D300 and a lens in the 2.8 range, such a my 24-70 or the 35f2D For some time, my wife had been complaining that her D60 produces images that look like crap. (She mostly sees images shot by a camera a few… -

Re: Nikon F4s tips
Just got a mint F4 today. Went to a shop that had about 5 F4 cameras. Mostly F4e with a battered F4s, which I wanted. Then the guy brought out some shrinkwrapped F4 (no grip). Not a scratch, serial number starting 257 and gauranteed to work or my money back. Unfortunately, it was an hour before I could get any AA… -
Re: Prices for digital downloads?
Of course, pricing is highly context sensitive. It depends upon how uniquely your photos fit the needs of the buyer and what the value of those photos are to the buyer. Speaking as an occasional buyer of digital images, I expect to pay something around what an 11x14 print would cost (in the $10-30 range). If it's more than…
