Right, that's what I was trying to say. The Oly 75-300 is micro four thirds and slower, the 75-300 is four thirds and the same aperture as the Pany 100-300. I'm a sucker for aperture. The 75-300 would put you at ISO 2400 (or 2500) when you could be at 1600. No hood supplied with the Oly... cheesy... But, it could all come… -

Yep, that's my next move. The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 II is spec'd as a m4/3 lens. It appears to be a tad smaller and lighter, based on a dpreview.com comparison, but it remains a half-stop slower than the Panasonic. In any case, I am stuck until I can get somewhere and fondle both of them. Thanks, again! -

Oh, no major reason, just that the Pany 100-300 is a bit faster than the Oly 75-300, and is stabilized. Oly makes a 70-300 that is as fast as the Pany, but it is four thirds, not micro four thirds.
