With that being said. Does that mean that the signal being sent from the CCD, through in camera processes, into memory is at some point not digital? Last time I checked, 1's and 0's came out as 1's and 0's no matter how fast your send them through electornic mediums. The rest of your dialog does make perfect sense though. -

I am not sure what you mean by data on the sensor. Essentially each pixel on the sensor is a capacitor. That capacitor gains charge as the photons hit it during the exposure period. Once the exposure is complete, the charge on each pixel is electronically converted to a voltage, amplified, and then fed to a A/D converter.…
