>>> LPS#1 Feedback/Critique from the Judges
If a judge is moved to make a comment, they are free to pass that along with their voting tally. We did receive some feedback for this round: annnna8888 First of all, the entries were varied and showed a broad range of subjects (gave me a lot of ideas, too). What I was mostly looking for in the photos was the immediate… -
Re: Bulk Edit EXIF
The exif tool from libexif is capable of setting values, however it does seem to also dork with some other stuff, so it's not a clean "just change these bytes and no others" opperation. Namely on my images it mucks around with the Maker Note and User Comment portions. That at least works on my jpgs, it isn't capable of… -
Re: StatCounter Data Reporting Issue
No image views recorded for my legacy site Hi, It was not resolved for me. I have the same issue as SunGlo, but on my legacy SmugMug site. Image views within a gallery stopped being recorded in StatCounter after December 3, 2014. The only thing being recorded now are page views and only the entry image when first going… -
Re: What does Smugmug have that Zenfolio does not - let's make a list...
Yes, I agree, the future is uncertain, but right now I do not enjoy using Smugmug because it is too slow and the picture display is too small. Zenfolio is a pleasure to use and view pics, and that is what my clients are telling me. I notice Pbase is feeling the heat as well, I had this email from them: Hi, We would like to… -
Re: memorial service (large post)
Thank you all so very much. I'm glad the story and emotion is there. Scott...#11 hit me hard as well. As I said, making them b&w really helped, I think. Otherwise, they appeared, at first glance, to be a jumble of snapshots. (Heather, thanks for the thumbs-up on the conversions! I don't often land on a conversion that I… -
Re: sandisk, lexar or transcend?

Re: Facebook App?
My Facebook app requirements Glad to see this topic coming up. Let me describe my scenarios and provide a few detailed requirements. Scenario: FB has rapidly become a key network tool for family, friends, and co-workers. The integration of news feed with applications, status updates, etc. has provided an ambiant and sticky… -
Re: PhotoPost: January Waves at Steamers...
I am compassonate 'gus, but I am also a realist and aware that really good tools are a joy to use, and lesser tools may not be such a joy. They may be adequate. Tamron makes a 300mm f2.8 for $2999 with a $500 rebate, but would you really prefer that to the white lens from Canon? The Canon 300 F2.8 IS is what Andy Wheeler… -
Re: what computer stuff to get?
I agree with pyry. The HP 2509m is not even close to a decent monitor for image editing. It is just OK; the market it is aimed at is the 1080p video watching crowd and gamers. Main short coming for image editing/viewing? - 6bit TN TFT LCD panel. - also 1920x1080 native resolution Personally I'd take a smaller 22" 1680x1050… -
Re: Dayton Airshow 2009
Very nice work, Chris! You did a good job dealing with the weather! I've been shooting with the 100-400L for about 4 years now, it's my "go-to" lens for aviation work. You carry it around all day at an airshow, and eventually you get used to the weight, but it's a great lens for that use. On the Thunderbird cross-over, I…
