A few recent shots from Snoqualmie, WA

Snoqualmie is located 25 miles east of Seattle, near the foothills of the Cascades.

Mt. Si reflecting in Lake Borst (not shown: the mosquitoes which took advantage of my poor choice in clothing):

Snoqualmie River at sunset, just upstream of Snoqualmie Falls (you can see the little barrier telling you that it might be a good idea to turn around!). This was shot from a small bridge.

And finally, what Snoqualmie set would be complete without the falls? They are really flowing right now, you have to be quite a distance away before you can escape the mist.

And here's a shot of the main viewing platform for the falls, there's a light beneath it and I thought it looked kind of cool with all the mist coming up:

Ron, the last one in particular is just fantabulous! thumb.gif

I think these are the best shots I've seen of Snoqualmie, yet! You got the right light and the right time of the day.

Thanks Awais! Even though I've been to Snoqualmie Falls a half-dozen times, it's still awesome everytime I see it, and there's a lot of stuff in the immediate vicinity worth photographing as well.

Very nice shots. I will be visiting this area in August and I am really looking forward to it.
