Great capture and an even greater story!
Having no real physical handicaps (other than being old, not being able to remember things like I used to and a bit overwieght) it is impossible for me to relate to your experiences.
Having said that I still find your images and efforts an inspiration. I have no idea what type of hawk you have photographed, but I like the images. You should add the owl image that is in the story post. It is very nice as well.
We look forward to the pictures of the bottom of your hiking boots, when you have worn the soles off of them! :ivar
