can't read colored type

I am trying to post a message with a link inside it. But the link keeps coming out dark neon blue, which I can't read against the black. How can I turn off colored type in a message post, so that I just get white type?

Jim,

It will turn white once you post. Check the preview of the message just to be sure.

You can always remove color and formatting before you post something here by highlighting the text and clicking on the crossed-out A button in the upper left of the message window. Screen shot of the button below...

I did try that but without selecting the type first. Now I know. Thank you Denise.
