How nice of him to pose for you! Sometimes the males are harder to shoot because of their red heads ... but yours turned out perfect! Looks like you had perfect lighting too. Nice job.
Yeah that is one cracking shot. There are loads of them flying around and in abundance on the bird feeders but because they are the common sparrow I think everyone gives them the pass. I am sure this photo of yours will inspire us all to take time and shoot a few as their plumage is quite striking.
