Possible to "Turn Off" my site?

So, I'm looking to go in and update some images on the slideshow on my site. I'm curious if there's a way to turn my site off while I do this? I know it won't make a difference to the 4 people that hit it, but just wanted to know if there was a way to put up a default page while I work on it.
