I have this shot in the challenge already.
Just looking for some feedback.

Good, bad, ugly?
Sell my cameras and take up knitting?

The whole deal
open shot
duplicate layer
gradient map layer (b&w)
on dup layer, run diffused glow filter and erase the glasses, mouth and beard. (so the layer below comes through)
save as a jpg and post.

It doesn't hurt, either, when the subject is a hottie. :D

I don't know if the diffuse glow filter works on this shot. To me, it makes the photo look a bit too muddy, soft everywhere. I'd try using less, but that's just me.

Cool entry though. GJ on the self-portrait! We all know how hard that is, especially for guys. Women on the other hand, compose self-pix easier than they can compose through a viewfinder. rolleyes1.giflust

    Thanks mr peas.

At almost 50, the face needs to be softened up a little, if you know what I mean.:D
Before the diffused glow i did do a dup. layer with surface blur to smooth out the cracks and lines, (that was done in the before shot also)
so that's probably the main reason for the softness.

Maybe I'll take a stab at redoing it. We'll see.

    Thanks for looking.

I'm getting a partial knee replacement in less than a month.
50 feels like an old 80.:D

I gave it a shot at redoing this, in my opinion, this is it.
The redone shots turned out so bad that I won't even post them.

    Thanks for looking.
