My eight-year-old son decided to spiff up the mini-pumpkin pie treat he received at his friend's birthday. While I was slaving on Sunday morning pancakes, he brought out Tire Tread licorace, some recent July 4th candy stash, and a fresh raspberry from our garden and created this concoction that demanded to be photographed.



I can't wait till he moves on to salads :wink

Kids will eat most weird combinations of foods at times.

He pretty much inhaled it But he's got a sweet tooth (obviously) that we are trying to manage.
My daughter is a much more conservative eater, though they both love sushi--not an economical practice for 8 and 10 year olds.
