The rest of the Great Kiskadees
Right at the end of the day, I took these pictures at the Martin Refuge. It was probably 7:30pm by now or close to it. I had seen plenty of great kiskadees this day but up until this point I hadn't been able to photograph a nice perch of one. Luckily at the end of the day, this all changed.
I really like these flycatchers. They are so vocal and animated.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry. I think I am going to do that and make the overall picture a bit brighter.

Thanks Ric. I appreciate it.

And that is about the way I saw the bird's chest in person. They have beautifully rufous colored wings too!

Thanks Mike. They don't quite measure up to some of those colorful birds down under, but they are handsome flycatchers.

Thanks Bob. I was lucky that this one finally obliged me with some perches.

When you do, let me know. Thanks for looking.

Taking some of the advice here I brightened the images and tried to bring out the eyes more. There does not seem to be much difference in the eyes in these compressed versions but the full versions do show a difference.
