Must be a painter somewhere inside me...
Unfortunately, God didn't give me a gift to paint...
So... I take photos.
This one is taken early-early in the morning (5 a.m.) at Divnogorie - wonderful places 150 km away from where we live.

What do you think?

Yuri, wow! I think that your words are just as illustrative as the picture. They go together so well.

After I read what you said I really did see the painterly aspect if the photo.

Whether or not you have the patience or talent with a brush, we're very grateful that you have your camera. thumb.gif

Nice shot. The yellow in the air bothers me but then I see the stacks. I don't have a positive/negative opinion on this shot. Would a tighter crop help? I don't know. It is not a wllhanger for me.

    Cheers,

Very beautiful Yuri. Your strength in composition has really shown through here. It is refreshing to see a well composed, technically sound landscape image without the use of strong photoshop.

I love the layering here. The only thing I may have done differently is taken a wider panorama as well. To me this one screams for wide angle because of the layering in the background and elevation on the right (creates depth).

Of course Yuri, this also works to compress the shot as well and funnel the viewer into the distance. :D

    Great photo!
