Managed to score a media pass for David Ortiz re-hab with the Pawtucket Red Sox. I am not a sports photog and have no fast glass but loved the chance to get up close and personal. Enjoy. C&C welcome and appreciated

Great shots, but your 3 and 4 shots of Big Papi could stand some tighter cropping.Still, nice shots!thumb.gif

Thanks John, I have not done anything but some levels and USM so far. I do plan to go back and tighten up some of the shots. Thanks again for looking

If those were taken with the new siggy, the lens looks very promising.

They were. I have had the lens about a month and find it a very good lens.

The colors you got with the lens look great too, from the blues, red, and warm hues of sunset.

Much of those shots were in very low light (for the lens). I find it to perform admirable for an under $1000 zoom. My 80-400 OS is equally as good.

Well, if your friends have the last name "Mondor", please thank them for me and for all the Moms and Dads that I know. They run a great facility and a class organization. Going to a game at McCoy is a treat - reasonably priced and family oriented. I'm going next Sunday in fact, bringing a dozen family members - can't wait!

    Go Sox!

I produced a TV show for the Pawsox for a number of years and am very good friends with the management. When I heard Big Papi was coming for a re-hab I asked the Pres if I could get a field pass for me. He was gracious enough to oblige.
