Better. In answer to your first question, it's certainly over the top, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. But I think you should try to include more of the background and get away from the centered composition you have chosen. There's a lot to work with in the original shot.

I believe with this type of editing it's all about personal taste.
You either like that sort of thing or you don't.
You can clearly make out that it is a motor cycle.
I think a different crop on the shot, more like a PANO would probably look better.
