Los Angeles Arboretum is more of a garden/nature park but there are a few birds there and LAShooters decided to have a group shoot there.

They have a lot of peacocks and this is the first time seeing female ones, and with chick too.

Got treated to a gray heron catching a catfish in the lake. Folks were feeding the ducks bread and the fish would eat the bread as well. A heron was intently watching and walked over and caught two catfish in the morning.

Even saw a wood duck as well.
Most birds there are very used to human so I was able to get really tight headshots with a 400mm with no cropping.

OK, some shots from the day.
