Safari Animals
Several of these are posted in the travel section as well. Sorry about that but I thought I'd share a few in here too!
These were all taken in Botswana by the Okavango Delta wiht my Rebel XTi and a 100-400 telephoto lens.

I am planning an African Safari for 2009. I want the luxury versions. Any suggestions?

Its in the Okavango Delta as well and is the premier camp. Very expensive and very elite, many former presidents and royalty go. If you're looking for a little more affordable there are other camps in the area called "Classic Camps" which feature great accommodations but not quite as nice as the Platinum ones.
Another piece of advice is get a guide who knows about photography (I can recommend one by PM). My guide was always setting me up to get correct light on the subject which helped SO much.
Sorry, I could go on and on. Feel free to ask more specifics, I cant say enough good things about Botswana!

For luxury in the Okavango, take a look at Desert & Delta and Ker & Downey, apparently the latter offers the more exclusive lodges. If you want to go towards the Savuti region, I have heard the Savuti Elephant camp is one of the nicest there. I haven't used any of these myself as I have family in Botswana, so stay with them when I am there . Hope that helps to give you some ideas though!

I really appreciate the compliments. I'm 19 and new to this photography world.
The shanty towns were Soweto and a little bit of one in Capetown whose name escapes me.
Ok, thanks for letting me know where the shanty towns were, I thought I didn't remember seeing anywhere as poor as that around Gabarone / Francistown / Maun / Kasane

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I visited Lion Sands Private Game Reserve (http://www.lionsands.com) September 2007 and loved it. You would never believe how close you get to the animals. I had a 100-400, but had to use my 24-105 alot more that I thought.
