We (my wife, son and mom) went to florida this past week to visit my grandmother so we can show Dawson off to all her friends. We really enjoyed all the r & r time and it was definitly good to see my grandmother. One of the evenings we went to the beach to take some pictures and I thought I would share them.

C & C is definitly appreciated.

Hope you enjoy!

    Overall, they look nice.
On a few shots like no. 3 and 7, the flash seems a bit too powerful.
Perhaps a touch of -FEC may be the thing.

Thanks Tee Why for the comments. I am still trying to figure out fill flash. I THINK I was using the -1 EC and +1 FEC but I will have to check the EXIF.

You captured some nice moments and whoever you passed the camera too did a good job too. The one big thing I see that could improve the shots is what most people do when they take shots: they shoot standing up.

You can get more dynamic and interesting shots if you shoot from kneeling down or even get belly first in the sand when shooting kids. If getting low is unappealing do to sand, just hold the camera low and take a bunch of pics. One is bound to be framed correct.

Not trying to derail your pics, but just illustrating with some shots of my nephew.
