Great pics, when I was a kid I used to spend the summers at their farm in upstate New York and there were Blackberry fields and we would get a big leather belt and strap on a 5 gallon bucket, long pants and a long sleeve shirt and we would pick two and eat one until the bucket was full! Then we would have blackberry pancakes and blackberry jam, and one of my favorites was to make a peanutbutter and blackberry sandwich while the blackberries were still warm from the sun. Our fingers were stained purple for two weeks straight! We had some great times back then... Thanks for the memories.

used to do the same thing when I was a Kid in Germany, in my Grandpas little garden, he grew berry's there, especially had strawberrys. Between the blood and berry stains, glorious times. Probably why I planted these. Thanks for reminding me!! thumb.gif

    Ben,

I'm with ya buddy. What's a little blood when you can have that deep red juice running down your jowls from pigging out on boysenberries? rolleyes1.gif They are so sweet and so much tastier right off the vine thumb.gif

As others have mentioned, that thorn shot is sweet clap.gif

Mulberries come in September, but sweet, sharp and they live on a tree with no thorns. My tree does not even have a leaf on it yet and it fell over to make it easier to pickbinge.gifbinge.gifbinge.gif
