I really like this. It's almost monochromoatic. Very nice colours with the rich greens and the subtle brown of the trunks. I like the vanishing point too. What a pleasant picture to just look at.thumb.gif

I love looking into this shot. I find it very difficult to capture a line of trees as a dark green tunnel, but you've done it here. thumb.gif

Your photo makes me want to walk further down and see what's beyond the curve of the stream thumb.gif

    Draws me in
Quite a soulful shot, it just draws me further and further within. I especially like the color of the water on the left side. This image will be even more appreciated around January when it is grey and dark where I am.

    Nice work.

I have taken several similar shots around here but have never gotten anything I like much. I absolutely LOVE your shot! I have canoed on that part of the river and your photo draws me right back into the boat!

    Thanks for sharing-

Thanks all. We were zooming by (on cycles) and I happened to notice the scene as we went by. Luckliy there was a place to park the bikes near by or I would have missed it.

Beautiful greens and textures captured on the trees. The shade of green kind of reminds of House of the Flying Daggers, if anyone here has seen that movie :).

Canon 560 hacked with CHDK to give it RAW capability (& more stuff). But that's another story. Almost take primarily RAW now. Why not.

I was just about to try something like this a couple weeks ago with my sd550, but it just quit on me with the dreaded E18 error (piece of sand jambed the lens I think):cry

Very serene and peaceful! I love the soft green and the lines from the river and the trees.
