It's an interesting image, and beautiful bride, but it's too dark.

Agreed...a bit dark. The look is a bit unflattering and not real captivating. Selective lighting using layers/masks would help this image a great deal. Possibly you have others that are more indicative of a bride of joy?

Maybe some play with the contrast and little more light on the right side of the portrait would help in some pp work. She looks bored. headscratch.gif

I think it is a beautiful composition. It wouldn't be a bad thing to get some more exposure in there....even if it meant pushing the right side of the BG to the extreme. Also, punch up the blacks a tad...the line above her head doesn't appear to be true black on my monitor. My try below...Next time, watch out for the black thing sticking out of her head.

Thanks for the critique. I guess I was going for a more sultry feel hence the low key approach. I guess it's not working for most.

Thanks, Jeff...I like your version. The black thing is actually a inset into the wall. I should have avoided it.

i'm not too keen on the color either. i say go b&w, adjust themid and lows to pop it till the ambient soft light glows.

It's reasonably easy to clone out.
