These pictures were from my first time ever using a SLR camera. My friend let me borrow his Nikon D80 for the day and this is what I came up with:

1
main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=57&g2_serialNumber=10

2
main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=63&g2_serialNumber=9

3
main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=246&g2_serialNumber=4

4
main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=243&g2_serialNumber=4

Like I said it was my first time with something other then just a point and shoot. I have a lot to learn and hopefully can learn a lot on here! Please give me some feedback!!

Well for your first time, I think you did very well.

That second one "Nothing good can last" is nicely composed and the rattle can art just adds to the beauty.

I will offer my two cents! I like them! Better then my first bike pics! The second and the last stick out for me. Only thing i would have tried is shooting the second one in portrait. Although the message on the wall is kinda morbid if you think about it too long ;) I think that msg with the bike on the right side of the frame would look cool. The last, a RR on the tracks - just screams Fast as a Speeding train (or some cheesy thing like that!). But as said - i like them!
I looked at your site - that Skitch shot... More brave then me!

From one new guy to another - Welcome aboard!

Nice shots and Welcome to dgrin.

In #1 I would like to see more of the bike since it is the main subject.
If, you where at a 45 deg more to the left I think it would help the shot.

In #2 I would crop the left side since the subject is looking to the right and get him/her to take off the helmet.

In #3 Crop some off the left side alot of empty space does not add to the photo.

In #4 Very Nice photo I like how you can see more of the bike.
