Hi All,

My FZ10 had been away for 8 weeks for warranty service. So when it arrived back into my hands, I was ready to explore! Near the sleepy town of Mount Dora, Florida lies Lake Dora. The following images are just a small taste of some of the beauty around it's shores. I hope you enjoy!

...and you sure showed us some beauty. Great set! thumb.gif

Suggestion: Invest in a polarizer to cut some of the glare off the water in #2

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hi Phil,

I'm glad you enjoyed the series. Already have a polarizer... just didn't use it in this outing. I snapped several... Ok tens of shots of that gator. In many of the images the water wasn't blown/overexposed but I ended up giving this shot a try on the forum. To me I thought the white all around the gator emphasized the suject along with it's reflection. Was just experimenting with something new to see what kind of response it might evoke. Greatly appreciate your comments and thanks for stoppin' by!

    Hi Ben,

I'm glad you enjoyed!:D Zoom mechanism wasn't working properly, and the sensor was burning horizontal bands into my images on high contrast areas. (ie reflections, theater lights, sunsets,) All appears to be working well now!thumb.gif

Gotcha - and it's just my opinion but for me the blown water is actually distracting attention from the gator. I don't know what the other shots look like so maybe in those he blended in too much making you choose this one.

    Good work Kirwin thumb.gifthumb.gif

I agree with Phil, that a few of the water shots have some distracting hot spots ne_nau.gif Mainly the croc shots. It might have been worth attaching the polarizer for these shots.

All in all, very sharp and colorful shots clap.gif

    Hi MuskyDude,

Sorry 'bout that... didn't mean to overlook your post! Sometimes I have a hard time following this format. I guess I'm used to DPReview's format.eek7.gif

Thanks... First time I have captured a baby Moorhen. So ugly it's cute.:D I'm glad you enjoyed the image!
