I got my Sigma 30/1.4 lens recently, here are some of the first shots I managed with it. I took all of these at the Finnish amateur astronomers' society's summer get together in Varkaus, eastern Finland.
Doffed out gas burner:
This one already made it out to the wildlife forum.
A Daubenton's bat hunting supper:
(1/2 sec exposure with 5 pops from a flash is how that came into existance )
Check out this paint job on a telescope
Abstract glittery wavy things, with a grad-ND and a mild diffuser:
It's definitely not a macro lens, but we try
Thanks for taking a look, feel free to say what you think

Hi Pyry,
The bat shot is rather cool, thanks for explaining how you got it.
I like the abstract look of the paint on the Telescope,
it's reaching red veins create a very interesting pattern.
All the best with your new lens Pyry .... Skippy

:skippy Everyone has the right to be stupid, but some people just abuse the privilege :dgrin
The bat shot is the kind of shot that flashes have multi-pop modes for in the first place. I'd love to see other attempts at something like this
The technique they used to make that paint job was intresting, a solid coat of red painted over with a black colour that contracs as it dries.
Thanks Skippy, I think the little lens is going to be a fun one to use
