My fourth shoot with this family, and our first outdoors! I haven't done a lot of portrait/family work lately so I was a bit rusty. This family likes "traditional" posed and camera-aware photography more than my usual "lifestyle" stuff, so I always struggle with that, especially with young children and forcing them to look at the camera constantly vs. letting them lead. Anyhoo....C&C welcome!

2. Still can't believe I got a 3 year old to sit still for me like this!

6. These are more what NOT to do than anything! :rolleyesAfter two hours of tears and frustration, I was pretty worn out and stopped thinking clearly about my settings. I was exposing for their skin and using flash to light the eyes, but clearly should have underexposed the bg and used the flash to expose them which would have improved the blown parts. It looks worse in FF than in CS2, but I do need to revisit these, maybe some masking if they order.

Hopefully someone learns something from my mistakes! Thanks for looking!

I kinda like your watermark from your wedding series better than this one...

I like #5, it's more spontaneous. She is really small in comparison to the bench! Nice perspective! But the lighting on her... headscratch.gif
