New England forest rally.

Just a couple shots from the event a couple weeks ago. I never shot Rally before and I have to say its pretty intense. let me know what you think. The first one is Travis Pastrana the others I dont really know.

    Some very fine shots indeed! My favs would be 1, 5 & 6 for their creativity.

    Great shots! I like the fact that each one is alittle different, keeps the interest. The last two stand out. The second last one is great as most would focus on the car - and not be creative. The last one shows the speed at which these guys have to move to get things done!

    ....A moment of silence for the beverage please... Then again - its better that then a lens!!!

    Great feedback, thanks! I think they only have an hr of service time. Yeah a broken beer is much better than a broken 70-200 2.8 IS:eek1. There were many near misses.

    Is #1 a composite, or is it actually 5 different cars? To me it looks like the same car captured in 5 different spots. headscratch.gif

    Yes the first is a sequence shot, all the same car merged in CS3.

    I take it you dont like the first one:D

    I love #1 ... sweeet! You've motivated me to try and see the rally's we will be having this fall and winter in the Midwest. I've always been a wanna-be rally driver, but at least now I can take pictures of them! Would love to see Pastrana in person.

    Thanks! Yeah rally was pretty fun to shoot, as far as wana be driver just do What I did and run the course before it starts, they again on your way outmwink.gif

    Yeah that is really cool with Pastrana there. Wish I had known about the event, I would of tried to make it out!
    Excellent captures, I am often boared with any sort of car/bike photos, but yours kept me interested, so nice work!

    I really like all these photos. Rally cars are very hard to photograph and there are so many official photographers out there who make money from taking what amount to snapshots.

    So I love it when a set of rally photos like these are taken. Love them! Especially the two Subaru's.

    Hey thanks! I checked out your site, very nice stuff. I think my fav is the 2nd shot in the rally of wales 2007. Oh and the chick with the gun:D
