Either I'm a glutton for punishment or I just want to get better... or both... :D

Some images taken at last night's MLS match in Kansas City...

1) Keeper Kevin Hartman makes a stop in warmups.

2) Mascot Dynamo the Dragon

3) Dynamo trying to kick a ball into the stands... and missing...

4) Wizard Jack Jewsbury fights for the ball with a Fire player with Davy Arnaud looking on. (Depth of field, I know...)

5) Wizard Roger Espinoza makes a run into the 18-yard box with Fire defender John Thorrington in pursuit.

these are nice, but the one thing i would say definatly stands out is your focusing. on the first and last ones, they could've been winners, but the camera is focusing on something else. make sure your subject is in the center of your viewfinder when you shoot...you can always crop/clone later! an improvement of last time, though.

Kevin (#1) was, pretty much, in the center of my viewfinder. I have noticed, though, that sometimes I have a finger on the focus ring while it's trying to focus and that'll fuzz up the shot a bit...

I do appreciate the note of improvement. Next weekend is the African Cup of Nations, a little tournament here in KC where the African communities (of which there are many) will play against each other. I've been asked to go shoot it and as I know exactly where the park is, I figured, why not. :)

I'm a bit jealous that you get to shoot such events. I never have enough time, and when time finally does come around, I don't have the opportunities.

Tournament got cancelled, so I went out shooting at a fountain instead. Lots of those around here too...

As far as the MLS games are concerned, it helps to know people that work for the team.
