Sometimes Egrets are definitely skitish. I've found that if they are chumping on crabs they will totally ignore you. This guy was just preening and let me within 20 ft of him. I used a flashed and changed lenses and he never cared. I finally got bored and left. All shot with Pentax K20D, DA* 300/f4, flash and better beamer. All ISO 800. First two f4.5 at 1/500. Head shot used 2xTC, f11, 1/500.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
