Rather a shapeless blob but it almost looks like fire. Could you post the entire sunset? I bet it was cool.

I agree .. it looks like a fire, and the entire shot would probably fill in the pieces

This is the photograph. There is no entire shot. It's not a cropped image. It's just a detail of a sunset. (Took this photo with my previews camera (Powershot S2 IS which had a 12x optical zoom)). I have another photo from the same scene and the same day which is this:

I like the second shot better. The first one is hard to tell what you are looking at. The 2nd we can see that it is a sunset.

I posted this photo because it seems to me like a burning man with one hand raised up. That's why i called it "Strange Sunset Formation". Anyway, thanks for the comments..

Reminds me of the time spent lying on our backs as kids gazing up at the clouds.
