Hi Y'all,

Nikon is offering a buffer upgrade for the D3. Still waiting for the announcement to show on Nikonusa.

It will just about double the continuous shooting buffer of the camera. :clap
You will have to send it in to a Nikon service center and pay around $500 plus shipping costs for the upgrade. :pissed

It sounds great but I haven't experienced any situation yet where my current buffer wasn't sufficient so I'll be taking a pass for now.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

yowch! that's an expensive upgrade. probably great for sports shooters though. even with UDMA cards, that buffer can fill up pretty quickly when shooting RAW.
