Injured Holly Blue Butterfly

Was just parking the car on the driveway and I spotted this blue thing on the London Pride flowerbed.

On closer inspection I realised it was a blue butterfly. So I went in the house, grabbed the camera gear and went back. As I knelt down, I saw that the right wing was severely damaged. I carefully encouraged the butterfly onto a small leaf from the nearby pyracantha bush and took it indoors. There, I took a few photos of him (it's a male Holly Blue, I'm certain) and afterwards, put it back outside to die naturally, for I suspect the injury will probably prove to be terminal.

Only a butterfly I know, but a shame nonetheless.
