This writing spider has made a bush next to my porch her home. I passed by and saw her wrapping up a bug, so I grabbed my cam. She was polite enough to let me watch her feast.
Mmmm! Bug soup!
Some big teeth for such a pretty lady!
The bug looked pretty much dried up by this point until I opened the pics on my puter. Oh well, my neck was killin me anyway from the position she had me in taking them.

Good series William
I've not seen liquid being drawn out of a bug by a spider before
Interesting to see she has a strong tether at the top of the bugs binding.
Well done William .... Skippy

I wish she had been in better light so the background wouldn't be black from having to use the flash as pretty much the sole light.
I haven't seen a wild spider "drinking" its meal before either. I have seen my pet tarantulas many times, but well, imagine the same thing except mouse soup. I have a few pics but it's not the same to me as observing a wild animal au' naturale.
