The Bee and the Artichoke Flower

I usually never post photos at full resolution, but I thought it lost too much when reduced -- I love the little pollen grains on the bee. Below is a reduced version of the shot, you can click here to see the FULL RESOLUTION COPY.

Wish I had shot with a bit more DOF, but I think the composition is still good even if the resolution could be a bit better. On the other hand the shallow DOF gives it a bit more of a "intimate" feeling somehow.

I like the DOF on this. The bee is the focal point and the softer focus of the flower adds to the shot rather then consume it. Nice job

From the same series. I love the detail of the "tail section" the wings and their coloring, but the front half is not fantastic.
