I need to reprocess this image to rid it of the ghosting around their arm areas, but am curious as to what you all think about the overall mood of it.

I like the overall look..maybe needs a little more contrast in my eyes/monitor. The guy's pose looks a little forced to me but it is not that bad.

Jeff,
I'm not sure I can put my finger on it exactly, but I get a feeling of wistfulness from this shot, not a sense of new beginnings. Maybe it's the toning or the empty beach or the combination of the two. Do you have a color version you could post?
I like it just the way it is, and would be proud if it were mine...

This is only slightly desatuarated....it is a very monochromatic scene.....but not a monochromatic photo. It isn't a conversion.

i like the posing and the ghosting doesn't bother me but the color does - it's off enough that I'd be playing with levels and curves and contrast.
Or I'd sepia tone it or go direct to black and white.

Who me? Tease?
Nevah!!!
There was an issue with this image besides the ghosting that I mentioned, and I was curious how noticable it was. So far no one noticed, but I am still going to rework it. I think it has mega potential!
I am uploading a handful to my site right about NOW!:D
Soon Angie!
