Getting alot of Blue jays at my flat feeder chowing down on the peanuts.
I know of at least one family of 3 that stops in. They are not too shy, you give them about 15 feet & they'll come down
while processing some shots I took last week I found that one of the Jays flipped it's peanuts up..I've never seen (or noticed) it before. I didn't even realize it when I was shooting. I'll stick those shots at the end.

4 I think the next 3 shots are of a young one...but I'm guessing

6 again I think it's a young jay partly because it tends to "chip up" it's nuts

Great series. I really like number 4. I wish I could get better shots like these of blue jays.

Great pics. #3 is my favorite.
Peanut tosser would be fun to see in short video! Or maybe a high-speed sequence of shots. :D

Great shots Dave! You are correct it is a juvenile. You can tell by the "lips" where the bill connects to the head. Adult birds will have feathers there.
