Great shots! Nice action and well exposed (i.e. you can see eyes).
    Well done!

Yea, that's starting to kinda be my thing. I think when I can capture the eyes wether they are looking at me or not, it's just going to bring more to the photo.

Here is a really good shot of the eyes, Unfortunately the sun was going down and I wasn't able to freeze the action so the bike isn't tack sharp, so this pic could have been better earlier in the day.

Kind of tight... but nice none the less. Great exposure.

Hard to get the head on shots in focus. Nicely done.

I looked at you're site, the July 26th TNT gallery. How do you expect someone to find themselves, or their family member, when you put all 800 shots in one gallery?

It's time consuming on my part, but when I shoot on race day, I put each class in it's own gallery. This way, the riders, their parents and grandparentsmwink.gif , can find them easier.

    Nice shots, btw.

They look through them all. I made $188 in PROFIT from photo sales from that race alone. I just got a call from a grandma who was looking through that album who is ordering some pics and gave me her grand kids bike numbers for me to shoot more tomorrow night. Think about it, all of these riders know eachother. So when one person is scrolling through an album and see's a buddy they might just let them know about it then that person may buy pics

That's good advice from nipprdog. Maybe that $188 could have been more. Some people just don't want to keep looking for a photo of THEMSELVES and give up.

At the least, make a couple different galleries and list the classes in order that you place them in the gallery.

Rule #1. If they can't find it, they won't buy it. thumb.gif

You've got some nice stuff going here. Very nice stuff for your customers to scroll through too.

And you're right about word of mouth.

Wow ! The first pic is my fav : I love the colors in it (and the color of the bike matches to the color of the ground - my taste) and the back lighting. The eyes of the rider looking to you add a lot...

My sight doesn't get out of the picture either... Perfect for me thumb.gif

(Now I want to shoot such race too... *sighs* so many sessions ideas... :D )
