I've never seen this before, and luckily, I was able to re-import off the card (8GB Lexar 133x) and the card's data was okay. Anybody know why this might have happened? It was from a Lexar FW800 card reader into LR 2.0 and auto-converted into DNGs. I always format my cards in the camera and the previews were clean.

There was another thread here with much the same kind of problem. The consensus was to send the card back to the manufacturer and have it replaced under warranty.

I had the same problem (well, somewhat similar) with my Canon 20D in that I was getting this when I simply plugged in a USB wire to the camera. I ended up getting a SanDisk multicard reader and went from there. The problem has never shown up again. Generic USB wires are not clean unless tipped in gold and with the speeds available for transfers, the gliches such as yours and mine show up.

Anyway... just food for the think cap.
