Are Flash and Java Both Needed

I get a few people that say they have problems viewing my site. I know that the slide show is flash, but are the galleries Java? I'm going to put a banner at the bottom of my page saying that flash is needed with a link to download flash. I want to find out if I need to add a link for Java.

    The slideshow needs flash and the old drag & drop uploader needs java; however, the majority of your site needs javascript which is NOT the same thing as java (confusingly). All browsers come with the ability to understand javascript built-in, there is nothing to download.

    Flash, yes. Java, no. That's what I'm trying to say.
