The Good & The Bad!

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]first the bad, horsefly . shot this seconds after the little B.... bit me. i didnt hit him hard enough as he took of before i could get more shots of him.
the Good,big hoverfly id required,looks similar to Myathropa florae ?, i have looked at Brians pics and it looks slightly different. . it was quite big, at least the size of the Volucella pellucens.

have just looked at some of your florae pics, the first band of yellow on abdomen is broad, this one is quite narrow.
will keep looking.
