Not normally a shot I go for, but what the heck... Thoughts?

I'm not much into macro stuff so I can't offer much of a critique. All I know is I like the contrasts of yellow and blue. Nice shot.

This will sound funny. But the shot almost looks like something that could've been painted on a piece of china.

I like the contrasting color and the DOF.

I'm certainly no expert - but here's my thought for what it's worth. The background looks bright. Is that a background that you placed there? Most of the time if there is an artifical background on something like this I'd rather see black or a subdued color that compliments the color of the main subject.

The background is the sky, I basically layed down in a field of flowers and took the shot looking toward the sky.

Most artisitc IMHO, nice job of composition and perspective. clap.gifclap.gif The background is a bit bright but you can always try some cool PS effects if you get the notion.mwink.gif

Ha! I wouldn't have guessed that! In that case, I'd say you did well with what you had.

    Well done...
    Ed,
Fantastic shot...I agree with Ian in that it looks like a scene painted on china. I especially like the framed version.

thumb.gifI love it! The flower looks so bold, but still so delicate. And the contrast of the yellow and blue is beautiful. Aperture and exposuer are perfect. Good job!
