Truckee River

I snapped this back in March. It's of the Truckee River about 20mi west of Reno. I like the shot, but I'm not sure about the contrast in it. Anyone have any tips on improving it? BTW, it's actually a color shot. It was a very gray day and snowing.

    The higher contrast seems to make it pop

    You don't think the change in contrast washes out the background too much? That's the only reason I hesitated in the change, I didnt' want to wash out the upper left section of the picture.

    Personally, I don't feel the upper left is the focus of your attention. It's the stream.

    Point taken, the stream is supposed to be the focus of the pic..

    And yes....it was pretty cold that day...at least for this Texas boy...:D
